Dieser Raum braucht neue Möbel. -> Nominative (who or what is needed? Wer oder was wird gebraucht)
-en is in the 4th case (Akkusative / wen-Fall). Ich putze die neuen Möbel (wen oder was putze ich? / whom or what do I clean?)
But from my understanding, "Dieser Raum braucht neue Möbel" is Akkusativ isn't it?
(What or who does the room need? what is needed?) The "Raum" is in Nomativ case, but I think the "Möbel" is in the Akkusativ, no?
Now you got me. I hate those cases *g*
(where are the people who know this stuff?).
Then I guess it's because Möbel is indefinite (any Möbel). You could say Der Raum braucht die neueN Möbel. Then you use N when there are specific Möbel.
Sorry for confusing you (I probably shouldn't have answered )
