Cultural Insight |
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight. |
Albert: To ask politely for the bill in German, you just say Ich möchte bitte zahlen which is "I would like to pay". An even shorter way would be Zahlen, bitte! which can sometimes sound a bit rude. Both expressions are commonly used and it can happen that on some occasions you will be asked to check the change with Stimmt das Wechselgeld? which is "Is the change ok?" or Bitte zählen Sie nochmal nach which is "Please check again". |
