ihr, ihre, ihren when meaning your it is the formal your.
As in "Is this your bag, Mr. Smith?"
In that sentence you use formal speech and you translate it as "Ist das Ihre Tasche, Herr Smith?"
The informal version (when speaking to a friend) is "Ist das deine Tasche?"
note that ihre, ihr, ihren can also mean "her" as in "is that her bag?" "Ist das ihre Tasche?"
you know from the context which one is uses.
In writing it differs in the capital I when talking to somebody formally.
ihr, ihre differs from the gender of the object. die Tasche (the bag) is female therefore you use ihre/Ihre, if you use a male object i.e. der Ring (the ring) it is ihr.
Das ist ihr Ring = That is her ring.
Das ist Ihr Ring = That is your ring.
ihren however is for male objects in the 4th case (accusative)
Sie trägt ihren Ring (she wears/carries her ring)
Sie tragen ihren Ring (you wear/carry your ring)
